This program was part of Access to Justice Week 2021. Join LAWPRO, The Action Group on Access to Justice (TAG) and Toronto Lawyers Association to explore how legal professionals can structure their practices to better facilitate access to justice. Participants will hear from a panel of legal professionals from across the province and various areas of practice, who will share their experiences and tips for building access to justice into everyday practice.

Program Resources

Panelists will also explore associated risk prevention considerations such as conflicts of interest, communication, documentation, cultural competency, relationship management and insurance considerations.

After the end of this session, participants will be empowered to build access to justice into everyday practice through:

  • Legal Aid
  • Unbundling
  • Practice tips
  • Pro bono/low bono/sliding rates
  • Volunteering with organizations that promote A2J.
