3. Managing stress by talking back to your FeelingTalkCoachingStress in our lives is triggered by events, changes, demands and pressures. Many people react to their stressful environment with, what we call, FeelingTalk. For example a person who is highly stressed at work may come home and "talk" about it by showing anger or tears or harshness. Here are some examples of FeelingTalk.
The way to control FeelingTalk is to find a way to pause before reacting, in effect, to stop the impulse to respond immediately. Some ways to pause include:
